Frank Berzin was responsible for feeding the postwar growth in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs. A product of Slovenian immigrants, Parker’s grandfather entered the world of construction in 1929 when he was orphaned at the dawn of the great depression. He began working under the WPA to build shelters for the homeless, eventually becoming a bricklayer, masonry contractor, home builder and land developer.
Frank Berzin’s son and Parker’s dad Russell, has built communities everywhere from Madison Ohio to Naples Florida. Like Parker he was raised on construction sites and learned the business from his dad. Russell has created over two thousand homes for generations of families. His construction and development experience have instilled in Parker the knowledge needed to carry on the legacy.
Parker was born and raised right here in Northeast Ohio and keeps his office in Willoughby Hills. As early as he can remember, Parker has been immersed in building. His father made sure Parker knew all facets of the business, starting with digging ditches and eventually becoming a skilled finish carpenter. After an all-star football career in high school, Parker went to Notre Dame College on a football scholarship. Along with his gridiron success, Parker earned his business degree with honors. While he’s capable in management and accounting, you’re more likely to see Parker installing crown molding on the job than balancing a checkbook at the office. This kind of hands-on-approach exemplifies why Power Built is unique in the modern-day home-building industry.
